Goodluck Jerry is an upcoming indian movie to be released on july 29, 2022 in DisneyPlus Hotstar where it is a remake of 2018 tamil movie "kolamaavu kokila" nayanthara as lead role directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.
Good Luck Jerry is black comedy crime film directed by Sidharth Sengupta and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, Aanand L. Rai and Mahaveer Jain .The film stars Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role, alongside Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood, and Sushant Singh in pivotal roles.
The trailer started with Janhvi going to a drug-dealer gang to seek work, where she gives an honest and hilarious response to being told that the job is not for women. She is also seen working as a masseuse to take care of her family. Her life takes a turn for the worse, when her mother, played by Mita Vashisht, is diagnosed with stage 2 lung cancer. She starts working as a fearless drug dealer to arrange money for her mother's treatment, and faces life-threatening situations, while conducting crimes. Deepak Dobriyal is also seen in the trailer as Janhvi's admirer.
Director Siddharth Sen added: "We have had very few female-led con-medy films. So naturally, with this film, we wanted to redefine the unusually known word, 'con men'. Janhvi Kapoor pins the character perfectly in her portrayal of the character's desperation to fight and protect her family."
